The Process

  • Customers reach out to us through various channels, including our website, social media, recommendations, or word of mouth.
  • We engage with customers over the phone, conducting pre-qualifying questionsto gather essential information about the property and its occupants.
  • These pre-qualifying questions help us determine if the property qualifies for any energy efficient grants before scheduling a survey.

Appointment & Technical Survey:

Step 1

One of our inhouse retrofit assessors visits the property.

Step 2

Our comprehensive survey involves measuring all rooms, assessing existing insulation standards, and capturing photographic evidence throughout the house to support our findings. A detailed floorplan is also created.

Step 3

The surveyor also takes time to explain to the occupant what the property should qualify for.

Step 4

Necessary documentation, such as proof of address, identification, proof of income is collected during this visit.

Step 5

The retrofit assessor will also be able to answer any queries relating to the project.

Step 6

Back at the office, the surveyor inputs all gathered information into the application file and produces a retrofit assessment.

Councils (For Non-Means Tested Benefit Customers):

Step 1

If the customer qualifies for means-tested benefits, this step is skipped.

Step 2

For customers undergoing Local Authority Flexible Eligibility (LA Flex), the application is submitted to the customer's local council.

Step 3

The council reviews and approves the application, typically within 2-4 weeks.

Step 4

Council verification ensures that the household income is below £31,000, the occupant has a pre-existing health condition, or the number of occupants over 18 in the house is accurate(to support the gross household income route).

Installation:

Step 1

The property is scheduled for installation.

Step 2

Prior to installation, we conduct a pre-visit to explain in detail what measures will be installed and their respective locations. Customers have the opportunity to provide input, such as choosing the location of radiators or the heat pump itself.

Step 3

A skilled heating engineer visits the property to perform a heat loss calculation and create a materials list for the heating measures.

Step 4

The installation date arrives, and our expert team carries out the work.

Handover:

Step 1

Following installation, we conduct a post-visit to ensure customer satisfaction with the completed work.

Step 2

Customers can voice any questions they may have about the measures.

Step 3

Our installers provide a demonstration of how to use the installed measures and offer guidance on best practices.
