What Do You Need to Apply?
To set up SEG payments, you’ll need the following documents:
- Your DNO (Distribution Network Operator) approval
- Your MCS certificate (proves your system meets standards)
- Proof of ownership, such as:
- Invoice (if you paid privately)
- Certificate of ownership (if installed through the ECO scheme)

- Declared Net Capacity and Installed Capacity – Both can be found on your MCS certificate
- What’s am export MPAN? – A meter point administrator number (MPAN) is a supply number that’s unique to each smart meter. You export MPAN is linked to the electricity you export to the grid.
- MPAN Number – Check your energy bill or MCS certificate
- Export MPAN – Provided by your DNO
- Meter Photos – Take a photo of your main electricity meter, not any additional meters we may have installed
