what is battery storage?
Battery storage systems are devices that store electrical energy for later use. When paired with solar panels, they allow you to capture and hold onto the energy your system generates. These systems come in various sizes and capacities, and can be tailored to suit different home energy needs. Whether you’re looking to maximise the benefits of solar power or increase your energy independence, battery storage plays a key role in creating a more efficient, modern energy setup.

Why should you get battery storage?
Cost Savings
Battery storage lets you keep the solar energy generated during the day, which often goes unused and flows back to the grid. Instead of losing that energy, you can power your home during peak hours, cutting costs, reducing waste, and boosting the efficiency of your solar system.
Energy Independence
Battery storage reduces your reliance on the national grid. You can store excess solar energy during the day and use it when energy costs are higher, like during peak evening hours. That means more control over your energy use, more protection from price hikes, and a smarter, more self-sufficient home.

Minimise Your Carbon Footprint
Using a battery to store and consume your own solar energy means relying less on fossil-fuel-powered electricity from the grid. This reduces your household’s carbon footprint and helps you contribute to a cleaner, greener future, simply by using the power you’ve already generated.

What to expect from the installation
Register Your Interest
Submit an enquiry online or contact us by phone, and a member of our team will be in touch to discuss your requirements.
Phone Consultation
We’ll discuss what you’re looking to achieve with battery storage, including the most suitable battery size and model for your property and energy usage. We’ll also discuss whether the battery will integrate with an existing renewable energy system or operate as a standalone installation.
Site Survey
One of our surveyors will visit your property to carry out a detailed assessment. This includes reviewing property suitability, available installation space, existing electrical systems, and any factors that may affect system performance or installation.
Proposal Review & Approval
Following the survey, we’ll make any necessary amendments to the system design and specification based on the survey findings and any preferences or requests you may have. Once you are happy with the proposal, we’ll move forward to the next stage.
Contracts & Documentation
We’ll guide you through the relevant contracts and documentation required for the installation. At this stage, we’ll also complete any necessary paperwork and notifications on your behalf.
Schedule Your Installation
Once everything has been approved, we’ll agree on a suitable installation date and schedule the works with our installation team.
Installation & Handover
Our engineers will install and commission your solar system in line with industry standards, ensuring everything is operating safely and efficiently. Once complete, we’ll guide you through the system, monitoring platform, and key information so you feel confident using it.

Frequent Questions
how can battery storage maximise my energy savings?
Battery storage allows you to store excess electricity generated by your solar panels during the day, so you can use it later when energy demand and prices are higher, such as in the evening. This reduces the amount of electricity you need to buy from the grid and helps you make the most of the energy you generate, increasing your overall savings. Some systems also allow you to charge your battery during off-peak times when electricity is cheaper, further boosting your efficiency and cost savings.
what is the maximum capacity?
We install two different battery storage sizes to meet varying energy needs: a 5.12 kWh battery, suitable for smaller households or moderate energy use, and a larger 9.5 kWh battery for bigger homes or those seeking greater energy independence. Both options enable you to store excess solar energy to maximise savings and reduce reliance on the grid.
do they work during a power cut?
Our installations do not provide backup power during a power cut. While some battery systems can operate independently from the grid in an outage, the batteries we install are designed primarily for energy storage and cost savings rather than emergency power supply.
can i use battery storage without solar panels?
Yes, you can use battery storage even if you don’t have solar panels. In this case, the battery stores electricity from the grid, which you can then use during peak times or power outages to save on energy costs. However, pairing batteries with solar panels usually offers greater savings and environmental benefits.
