Package Eligibility 

This package applies only to standard domestic properties that qualify for a standard installation. Menai Heating Limited reserves the right to determine whether a property qualifies for this package following the site survey. 

DNO Applications 

This package is only available for installations that do not require a G99 application. Any property requiring a G99 application will be transferred to our standard pricing model. 

Roof Types 

This package is available only for slate and tiled pitched roofs. Flat roofs, metal roofs, asbestos roofs, thatched roofs or any other roof construction are excluded and will be transferred to our standard pricing model. 

Scaffolding 

The package price includes scaffolding up to 6 metres in length with a maximum of two working lifts. Any additional scaffold requirements, including increased height, additional lifts, chimney access, conservatory bridging, specialist access or any other non-standard scaffolding, will be transferred to our standard pricing model. Scaffold costs included within the package are fixed and cannot be reduced or credited if less scaffolding is ultimately required. 

Panel Layout 

All panel layouts are designed solely by Menai Heating Limited. The package includes a single uninterrupted array on one roof pitch only (for example 4 × 4 or 5 × 3). Split arrays, multiple roof elevations, detached buildings, outbuildings or alternative layouts are not included within this package. The final panel layout is at the sole discretion of Menai Heating. Any adjustments outside of this scope will be transferred to our standard pricing model. 

Cable Routes 

This package includes standard cable routes only. Where cable runs require additional containment, chasing into walls, decorative trunking, underground ducts, loft access restrictions, unusually long cable runs or any non-standard installation methods, additional charges may apply or the installation may be transferred to our standard pricing model. 

 Inverter Specification 

The package includes the specified inverter make and model as detailed within the package. Any request to upgrade, downgrade or substitute the inverter after acceptance of the quotation will be transferred to our standard pricing model. 

Additional Panels 

Additional solar panels may be added up to the maximum capacity supported by the included inverter. Any request exceeding the inverter’s design limitations, or requiring a larger inverter or system redesign, will be transferred to our standard pricing model. 

Optimisers 

Solar optimisers are not included within this package and will be quoted as an optional extra where required or requested at a rate of £36.50 each. 

Structural Reports 

If a structural engineer’s report is required following the site survey, the package price will no longer apply, and the project will be transferred to our standard pricing model. 

Planning Permission 

If planning permission, listed building consent, conservation area approval or any other statutory approval is required, the package price will no longer apply, and the project will be transferred to our standard pricing model. 

Package Variations 

Menai Heating Limited reserves the right to move any installation to its standard pricing model where site conditions, customer requirements or property characteristics fall outside the scope of this package. 

Site Survey 

All package prices are subject to a satisfactory site survey. The survey confirms that the property, roof construction, electrical installation and proposed installation meet the package eligibility requirements. 

If the survey identifies conditions that fall outside the scope of this package, including but not limited to additional electrical works, structural concerns, specialist access requirements, non-standard cable routes or any other installation requirements, Menai Heating Limited will provide a bespoke quotation before any work proceeds. 

No installation will commence until the customer has accepted the final quotation. 

This package has been designed to provide a fast, streamlined installation for standard domestic properties. Where customer requirements or property conditions fall outside these standard parameters, Menai Heating Limited reserves the right to withdraw the package price and provide a bespoke quotation under its standard pricing model. 

Refer a Friend 

Customers who successfully refer a new customer to Menai Heating Limited will receive £100 once the referred customer’s solar installation has been fully completed and paid for. 

To qualify: 

• The referred customer must not already be in contact with Menai Heating Limited. 

• The referral must be declared before the initial survey is booked. 

• The referred installation must proceed to completion and full payment. 

• Only one referral reward may be claimed per installation. 

• The £100 referral reward is non-transferable, and no cash alternative will be offered where prohibited by law. 

Menai Heating Limited reserves the right to amend or withdraw the Refer a Friend scheme at any time. 

Finance Disclaimer 

Finance is available subject to status, affordability assessments and lender approval. 

Representative finance examples shown within our marketing material are provided for illustration purposes only and may vary depending on deposit, finance term, credit assessment and the finance products available at the time of application. 

Monthly payments, total amount payable and interest rates may differ from the examples shown. Menai Heating Limited does not guarantee finance approval. 

Equipment Specifications 

The package includes the equipment specified within the quotation and associated marketing material. 

Current package specification includes: 

• 8 × 460 W all-black solar panels (DM460G12RT-G48HBB or equivalent approved replacement) 

• Solax X1-3.6T inverter (X1 Boost range or equivalent approved replacement) 

• Solar monitoring application 

• MCS certification 

• Standard commissioning and handover 

Where a product becomes unavailable due to manufacturer changes, supply shortages or product discontinuation, Menai Heating Limited reserves the right to substitute equipment with an equivalent or superior product of similar specification and performance at no additional cost to the customer. 

Equipment warranties remain subject to the individual manufacturer’s warranty terms.

• Supply and installation of the specified solar PV system. 

• Standard roof mounting system. 

• Standard electrical installation. 

• Standard cable routes. 

• Scaffolding within the package limits. 

• MCS certification. 

• System commissioning. 

• Customer handover. 

• Energy Performance Certificate. 

• Solar monitoring app setup. 

• Standard workmanship warranty. 

Anything not expressly listed above is excluded unless specifically stated within the quotation. 

Cancellation Rights 

Where this agreement is entered into away from Menai Heating Limited’s trade premises, customers may have statutory cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. Full details will be provided within the contract documentation issued upon acceptance of the quotation. 

Installation Programme 

Whilst every effort will be made to complete the installation within the agreed timescale, delays may occur due to adverse weather, manufacturer supply issues, DNO requirements or circumstances outside the reasonable control of Menai Heating Limited. Where possible, a revised installation date will be agreed with the customer. 

Product substitutions 

If specified products become unavailable due to manufacturer changes, supply shortages or product discontinuation, Menai Heating Limited reserves the right to supply an equivalent or superior MCS-certified product of similar specification and performance at no additional cost to the customer. 

Unexpected works 

If unforeseen works are identified during the installation that fall outside the scope of the agreed package, no additional work will be undertaken without first discussing the requirements with the customer and obtaining their approval to any additional costs. 

Customer Responsibilities 

The customer agrees to provide safe access to the property, suitable working space, access to electrical supplies, water and toilet facilities during the installation where reasonably practicable. The customer must also ensure that any agreed preparatory works have been completed before the installation date. 

General Reservation of Rights 

Menai Heating Limited reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw this package, its pricing, specifications, promotional offers or these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. 

Menai Heating Limited also reserves the right to withdraw the package price and provide a bespoke quotation, or decline to proceed with the installation, where any of the following apply: 

• The property does not meet the package eligibility criteria. 

• Site conditions differ from those reasonably anticipated at the time of quotation. 

• The installation presents health and safety concerns. 

• Technical limitations prevent the installation from being completed within the scope of this package. 

• Planning permission, DNO approval, building regulations or any other statutory or regulatory requirements fall outside the package criteria. 

• Information provided by the customer is found to be inaccurate, incomplete or misleading. 

• Equipment specified within the package becomes unavailable due to manufacturer changes, supply shortages or product discontinuation. 

• An obvious pricing, administrative or typographical error has occurred. 

Any other circumstances arise that, in the reasonable opinion of Menai Heating Limited, prevent the installation from being completed safely, compliantly or in accordance with the scope of this package. 

Where reasonably possible, Menai Heating Limited will discuss any such circumstances with the customer and, where appropriate, provide a revised quotation before any work proceeds. 

Nothing within these Terms & Conditions affects the customer’s statutory rights. 

Qualification for this package is determined solely by Menai Heating Limited following the site survey and review of the property.
