1. About the Scheme
Our Refer a Friend scheme is our way of thanking existing customers for recommending Menai Heating Limited to their friends, family and neighbours.
If you’ve had a qualifying domestic installation completed by Menai Heating Limited, including installations completed under the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS), you can refer someone you know who is considering a renewable energy or energy efficiency installation.
If your referral results in a qualifying installation, both you and your friend will receive a reward, subject to these Terms & Conditions.
Reward values are as follows:
£100 Reward
- Solar PV
- Storfa Batri
- Pwmpiau Gwres Ffynhonell Aer
- Pympiau Gwres o'r Ddaear
The referred customer will receive £100 off their installation, and the referrer will receive a £100 thank you payment.
£50 Reward
- Charger EV
- Air Conditioning
The referred customer will receive £50 off their installation, and the referrer will receive a £50 thank you payment.
By taking part in the scheme, both the referrer and the referred customer agree to these Terms & Conditions.
2. Scheme Start Date
The Menai Heating Limited Refer a Friend scheme applies only to referrals submitted on or after [Launch Date].
Only referrals received and recorded by Menai Heating Limited from this date onwards will be eligible for a reward.
Recommendations, introductions or enquiries made before the scheme launch date are not eligible, even if the referred customer’s installation takes place after the scheme has launched.
The scheme cannot be applied retrospectively to previous recommendations, enquiries, quotations, surveys, installations or completed projects.
3. Eligibility
Existing Customer (Referrer)
To qualify, you must:
- Be an existing private domestic customer of Menai Heating Limited.
- Have had a qualifying domestic installation completed by Menai Heating Limited, including installations completed under the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS), where applicable.
- Be aged 18 or over.
- Submit your referral before the person you are referring has contacted Menai Heating Limited, requested a quotation or booked a survey.
Referred Customer
The person you refer must:
- Be a new private domestic customer.
- Not have previously contacted Menai Heating Limited, requested a quotation or booked a survey before the referral is submitted.
- Own the property or have the homeowner’s permission to proceed with the installation.
- Purchase a qualifying domestic installation directly from Menai Heating Limited.
4. Qualifying Installations
The Refer a Friend scheme applies to qualifying domestic installations supplied and installed by Menai Heating Limited.
£100 Installation Reward
- Solar PV systems
- Battery storage systems
- Air source heat pumps (including Boiler Upgrade Scheme installations)
- Ground source heat pumps (including Boiler Upgrade Scheme installations)
Reward
- Referrer receives £100
- Referred customer receives £100 off their installation
£50 Installation Reward
- EV chargers
- Air conditioning installations
Reward
- Referrer receives £50
- Referred customer receives £50 off their installation
Menai Heating Limited reserves the right to amend the list of qualifying installations and reward values at any time.
5. Referral Reward
Where a qualifying referral results in a completed installation, the following rewards apply:
£100 Reward Installations
- The referred customer will receive £100 off their installation.
- The referrer will receive a £100 thank you payment.
£50 Reward Installations
- The referred customer will receive £50 off their installation.
- The referrer will receive a £50 thank you payment.
The applicable reward will depend on the technology installed.
Referral payments will normally be made by bank transfer within 30 days of the qualifying installation being completed and final payment being received by Menai Heating Limited.
Rewards are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for alternative products, discounts or other incentives unless agreed by Menai Heating Limited.
6. When Rewards Are Paid
Rewards become payable only when:
- The referred customer’s installation has been fully completed.
- Final payment has been received by Menai Heating Limited.
- Any applicable cancellation or cooling-off period has expired.
- There are no outstanding disputes relating to the installation.
No reward is payable where:
- A quotation is requested only.
- A survey is completed but no order is placed.
- An order is cancelled.
- The installation does not proceed for any reason.
7. Multiple Referrals
There is no limit to the number of friends, family members or neighbours you may refer.
A separate reward will be issued for each qualifying installation that meets these Terms & Conditions.
Only one referral reward may be claimed per new customer.
If more than one customer refers the same person, the reward will be awarded to the customer whose referral was first received and recorded by Menai Heating Limited.
8. How to Refer
Referrals must be submitted using the Menai Heating Limited Refer a Friend form, by contacting our office directly, or by another referral method approved by Menai Heating Limited.
The referral must be received and recorded by Menai Heating Limited before the referred customer contacts us, requests a quotation or books a survey.
Referrals cannot be submitted retrospectively, and rewards will not be paid for recommendations made before the referral was formally registered with Menai Heating Limited.
9. Fair Use
The Refer a Friend scheme is intended for genuine personal recommendations.
Participants must not:
- Advertise or promote the scheme for commercial gain.
- Misrepresent themselves as acting on behalf of Menai Heating Limited.
- Submit false or fraudulent referrals.
- Misuse the scheme in any way.
Menai Heating Limited reserves the right to refuse or withdraw rewards where fraudulent, misleading or abusive activity is suspected.
10. Changes to the Scheme
Menai Heating Limited reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw the Refer a Friend scheme at any time.
Any qualifying referrals submitted before the scheme is withdrawn will continue to be assessed under the Terms & Conditions in place at the time the referral was received.
