Menai Heating worked with the homeowner to improve the EPC and energy efficiency of the home. To design a system for heating and hot water, but also to integrate renewable technologies funded by the ECO4 scheme.
The EPC rating of the property went from a F38 to B86.

The 16Kw Riello Air Source heat pump was fitted with a 150L water cylinder to efficiently heat the home. The system includes 14 radiators, each fitted with a thermostatic radiator valve (TRV), allowing temperature control in individual rooms.
Additionally, 8 south-facing 3.32kW solar panels on a 30-degree slope, connected to a Sunsynk inverter fitted in the loft. A Solic 200 enables the solar panels to divert any excess energy generated into the hot water tank.
We installed 60.74 square metres of room-in-roof insulation and 89.60 square metres of internal wall insulation, both with a thickness of 95mm. 64.45 square metres of cavity wall insulation was installed in other parts of the house.
